The ladies social was started by the brides of pinbot ( Diane , Vicki , Traci , Claire and Judith and myself ) a few years ago now as we found some female partners sitting alone with their books around the hotel - on approach , we were told that they didn’t know anybody and either didn’t like pinball ( what !) or felt embarrassed to play . We think we have been successful in encouraging them and we had a successful serious comp last year so this year will be the last ladies social (aww ) BUT next year we plan a newbies social for everyone who feels a bit shy or wants to make friends . We have lots of ideas about this but welcome any thoughts .
So this year we are finishing with a bang . It will start at 7 pm and finish at 9 pm with the aim of coming out for stall ball or for some 4 player games . We plan to make this fun by having a pinball Olympics with lots of different tasks on each game which may get messy
. Wine , soft drinks and snacks will be provided and more information will be forth coming - Diane Bush is already got me giggling about this .
