Ok, so first you need to get out the nasty deep war wounds with a good old bit of 80 grit sandpaper. Give it a good seeing to until all the deep scars from previous girlfriends have been eradicated. It will look 
beaten and scratchy, but just think of the ones who never were as you go a bit more gentle with the 120, it’s like a colonic irrigation of the soul, until you remember the one you really loved…..ahem! ok after a lot of memories of that, chill out with a gentle 400 grit and whim away to your favourite cheesy 80’s tunes.stay here a good while, and then wife swap to something that knows how to polish you off. That was polish not Polish, but actually Eastern Europe is up there in terms of ability and cost effectiveness. Polish as much as you can bear, black, green, white is my preferred order, but whatever fills yer fancy. Finally polish to a super shine with a pair of your better half’s discarded smalls (i didn’t realise she wanted to reuse them) .
