Has anyone got a spare motor for reds jaw please or know where i can source one? The part no is A-13997.
At the moment she looks like she"s had a hell of a new year party sitting there mouth wide open ;-).

Thanks .

is it defo the motor thats not working
Ive tried checking the gears/cogs manually for any binding but all looked ok . i did the red test and the gears only moved very slightly..ive taken her all out at mo so thought if i can source a motor that might sort the problem..hopefully... :hmm:

Easiest way to test it would be plug it in to teds head and see if it moves of there if not then suspect a faulty motor
Or remove the motor from the gears and test like that you can do this via tests in the menu

Have you tried powering the motor up manually? Could just as easily be a board or playfield wiring fault otherwise.

Edit: Beaten to it by Chris b

ok..i took the motor off the gears completely ..i then re- soldered the motor back onto the original wires .(.i need to buy some crocodile clips).
then did the red test and the motor did work fully in one direction but then got jammed/stuck coming back....making me think its the motor ...what do you think? This is all fairly new to me so i"m still learning the basics ...

cheers ..

make sure the coin door is shut when you do this if you leave it running in test it should do it constantly open closed does the motor turn easy by hand

hi chris ..yes the motor turns easy by hand ..will have a go with door shut..;)

the door must be shut i think
tried it with door shut..motor seems ok going both ways..so put gears back on and tried again ..motor didnt seem to have enough oomph to hardly turn it .will have another go tomorrow..:)

Sounds like the gears need cleaning (removing all the old grease) and new grease applied.

Red is back to her gobby self again ...a new motor was put in and the gears cleaned and sprayed with silicone lubricant. Thanks for all your help everyone .:D
