Iron maiden pro

One of the best pins out there. Just fantastic IMO.

Elwin's first machine and superb layout. Don't own one but played it many many times. Owners will pipe up any minute now..............................

It one of the best pinball machines of all time, so good I own two of them.

Here is my rubbish playing at it:

Excellent game with some great new code, I have owned two of them and love the game so much would want to upgrade to a premium, for the little bells and whistles. If you haven't owned the game and Pro becomes available, you aren't missing too much, so I would go for it. If you love it, you can try and upgrade.

Sold mine recently for £5.6k - Pro, ex sited but cleaned up and playing lovely with a few mods.

License has run out so stern won’t be making any more. A wanted advert in the for sale section will get you one.

key things to look out for, playfield chipping near the slings; other than that it’s pretty bullet proof.

If you’re a fan of the band you won’t be disappointed - great theme integration, great music & call outs. Many different ways to play - it’ll keep you busy for a long time.
The protector that stern released ends up curling over time, you can just cut some Mylar and use that instead so don’t worry about that too much.
If you buy one it may need a bit of ‘dialling in’ but once it is you’ll fall in love. Best pin my a long shot (for me anyway)

Great game one of the best in my opinion with tight shots and deep modes but very rewarding once you get into it, need to go for at least the premium for the lift up ramp and sarcophagus and shaker motor

I got a pro a week ago and have been playing it a lot (it's the only pin I have at home currently). The layout & rules are superb. The audio is good - great if you like the band - but gets repetitive since there are only 8 songs or so. The art is beautifully drawn, depends whether you like the source material really. I also think it'll be fairly reliable & easy to service, as there are no complicated mechs.

But yeah, the layout is what really makes this machine - it's head and shoulders above anything else I've played. Most players will agree that rules & layout are the most important criteria, and thus this is indeed one of the best machines out there :)

It's bloody brilliant. It was my first new in box game and I always regretted selling it. Superb layout.

I do think, as I've said to @James many times (and I assume he's bored of it now!), Premium/LE is the way to go on this one. The LH ramp is way better integrated and more used, Sarcophagus lock provides a better mummy multiball with a safety lock and the underground (middle ramp lifting) is a way better mode start with a bit of a pause - definitely helps on the modes as you can drop catch on the right flipper - especially helpful in Rime of the Ancient Mariner but useful in all.

Wait, what @MartinY - you think that you HAVE to have the Premium?

Why didn't you say?

In all honesty, get any version of this game you can lay your hands on and play the hell out of it. When and if a premium comes up, I will be seriously dipping my toe in on it.

agree with Martin - its clear the premium is how the game was meant to be and its better for it... but the pro isn't the end of the world.
