Hi peeps,

After a busy few months of writing and learning about web publishing, my brand new online pinball magazine - Pavlov Pinball - has launched today at www.pavlovpinball.com. I'd love it if anyone has the time to take a look. If you do, I hope you like it.

For those who don't know me I am a journo by trade and have written a few pinball features for the BBC. But pinball is a bit too specialist for them to run a pinball story more than once a year, so I decided to write more and publish them myself...

They'll mostly be features about pinball technology and innovations - what I won't be doing ismachine buying and selling or anything else that is done here, and I won't be covering news stories or anything that encroaches on Pinball News.

Anyway, please take a gander, and if you have any comments, suggestions, ideas etc, do let me know.

Cheers,

Paul

Paul,
If you want to write any articles, I have an Article section on here (I'll have to turn it on though!!). You get credited too... :)
Great work tho!! :)

Cheers
Paul

Edit - REALLY like the look of the site!!

Great stuff Paul. First impression very positive indeed. I'm looking forward to having a good read at the weekend. Thanks for doing this for the community.

Fantastic stuff. A really great little magazine.
If ever you struggle for articles, an endless on tap resource would be to "visit a pinhead"! photograph their collection and talk to the owner about their story behind the machine and how they got in to the hobby etc...
Just an idea.

Thanks all. Gaz: Keeping new articles coming in on a regular basis is going to be the challenge, so all ideas gratefully received...

I havn't got time to be reading more websites

But I had a quick look at the site design does look pretty good

Hi,

Just had a look at the site, nice mobile layout... interesting articles too. Keep up the good work!

Ditto. I think you ought to link it the article from the Belguim(?) chap who came over in the snow for the Ghost Ship raid... :D

Enjoyed the ship raid article

I went on that ships arcade back when I was a kid - not too far from my house at all

Great work! I'm a web/application developer by trade, so I know how much effort goes into creating something like this let alone writing all the content! Some really good articles: interesting comments about automotive clear coat in Playfield Paradise; and I've just installed PinGuy on my iPhone.

My only criticism is regarding layout. Your logo is so large that there is a lot of wasted space for all screen sizes except mobile:

This means I can see a bit of the lead article but always have to scroll down at least half a page to start seeing titles or snippets, etc.

That's helpful feedback Nedreud. I'll see if I can reduce the size of the logo to make that wasted space a little less tall.
Cheers,
Paul

Edit: I have ensmallenated the logo now. It's a little better I think...

Well you see... My wife is Dutch, and me and my two teenage boys have an ongoing campaign to confuse her by making up words and seeing if we can get them in to her vocabulary without her realising they are made up. Looks like I'm the one who's become confusenated though...

New content up on the site, by the way...

Hey @Mfresh, just want to let you know how much I'm enjoying the articles on Pavlov Pinball. The interview with Bowen Kerins was quite a scoop and interesting reading. Definitely going to watch more of the PAPA vids/tuts for hints and tips. I've watched the PARAGON tutorial by Bowen over and over - "This game is brutally difficult." ;)

FYI: The link for "PAPA World Championships" on your post is broken as it contains an extra "http:/" on the end:
