Another price thread to keep you going, last time I checked most top 50 pins were creeping up gradually in value (some go sideways and others in smallish increments when they become available), just like petrol we get used to it like it or not (I personally don't mind as I think they are under priced on the whole for what they are and are just creeping towards the correct market value), I track prices like most and see the trends on a daily basis, however I must have had my eyes closed as I missed this trend completely.

I am referring to the two Pin2000 games, (RFM and SW1) neither of which are highly rated in the big scheme of things, last time I checked they were worth circa £1200 for a decent example, rough ones sub £1000, this was about 4 weeks ago, now the last couple on ebay have had price tags of £2500+, did I miss something?, have these doubled in price over the last few weeks.... did I indeed have my eyes closed??

Did they sell for that, or was that the starting / bin price? Personally I wouldn't have one, the cab looks well ugly.

The ebay listing for the RFM and EP1 is mine. Is it clear that the price is for both pins? This is not the cost per pin.

During my league meeting in April a fellow pinhead, with a deep collection offered me 2.4K for the pair. We obviously didn't do the deal as he decided to go for 1 AAA title instead, but the point is an experienced pinhead played them for an afternoon and saw them being worth 2.4k. I have them at 3K or best offer which isn't a million miles off. I noticed the 2.8k RFM so figured mine represented good value as for the same price you could get the same pin, plus another.

That makes total sense, they are what I thought the prices were at recently so I must have had one eye open, this one seems to be almost the price of both yours put together

No biggie, was trying to work out if £2500k was the new asking price.

Maybe it is a sharp correction in market value? I thought a few years back that RFM would ultimately be the machine which would sky rocket in price, probably after watching Tilt too many times, needless to say it did not happen and the price moved sideways while other less assuming titles sneaked up in value (WH20)...........maybe this is it, one huge overnight spike/correction in value which is here to stay?, someone parted with top dollar on the auctioned one so it may have some legs yet.

I was actually considering buying a RFM for a few months while I waited for WOZ. Think I'll give it a miss now!
