I don't know why but I have been feeling the love for some of the older games lately. For the last week or so I have been playing nothing but Diner, and what a game! There's so much in it, so many nice touches (like the bonus tip percentage depending on how many people you have served) and its been keeping me coming back for more and more. Proper pinbally fun.

And its nice to know that I am seeing 99% of the game I paid for, unlike some of these megadeep new Sterns which have levels which I will never see.

There's something in the simplicity of System 11s like Diner and Earthshaker and others which is just real pinball. And they don't cost the earth, which is nice. Anyone who thinks pinball starts with DMD games is missing out big time, I would repectfully venture to say.

Anyone got any other Sys 11 recommendations?

Right, off to play more Diner... Order up!

Yep I was going to let Taxi go then fell back in love with it... it just has that one more go charm, multiball is challenging but fun... the jackpot is amazing and there is depth in the simplicity.

Whirlwind is a firm favourite for me, but I totally agree with you the older games have a wonderful charm to them and always keep me coming back
 
High Speed! The first System 11 game of all, and still fast and fabulous! :)
 
Space Station is my favourite as well but over the years I've had Swords of Fury, Whirlwind, Black Knight 2000, High Speed, Banzai Run and Transporter the Rescue :thumbs: I quite like Sys 11's :D
 
Had them all apart from transporter . Took a long time to tick Fire off the list despite being quite common in UK. Pool sharks and bugs bunny are terrible but all the others are good to brilliant.
 
Banzai Run I think is my fave. Getting that upper playfield final shot to nail first place never gets old. It’s just so damn frickin heavy.
Taxi is also my fave!!!!!! As is whirlwind and....... damn it they’re all great. Except BBBB.
 
I love my Cyclone.

I think the appeal for me of these older games is the fun factor. The newer games are great, but you tend to follow a path on them to an objective. You either get bored of it when you get there or you get frustrated because you can't.
With the 11's you just play for score. So you never beat it.
Pkus the music is just fantastic on them

Looking thru the complete list reminds you there are some cracking titles, really aren't too many duff Sys 11 games...

Weakest titles - BBBB, Millionaire... maybe Jokerz, Pool Sharks

And a few oddbods - Fire, Big Guns, Riverboat Gambler

How about the Mistress of the Dark? I really love Elvira and the Party Monsters. I wonder why nobody mentioned her?
It took me some years and finally I found one. Lots to do with her, but at the end i Know it will be worth all the efforts.

And not to forget the Mousin Around - I like his flow, not like the others stop and go
