I love drop targets

Hell yeah! Gotta have a lotta drops! My Paragon has the first use of in-line drop targets in the Valley of Demons, and my Vector has a grand total of 9 in three banks of three. Also, unusual arrangement on Vector: bank of 3 prevent entry up the Vectorscan ramp, but unless you drop them in order (left-to-right or right-to-left) and extra bank of 3 pop up in front! These are about 3-inches in front and are unusual in that the ball can freely move behind them.

And can I just give some love to pop bumpers too? I love pop bumpers. Paragon has 4, a good minimum amount. Vector only has one and it's a bit hidden up by the X-Y-Z drops :( I like games where you get (and can easily see) really good slamming action between the bumpers (cue appropriate GIFs from @cooldan): Space Shuttle and Centaur spring to mind...

Love pops too. Whirlwinds got six of the blighters.
Anyone know if any game has more than 6 ?

Gigi 1963 has 14 pops!

I know em's aren't popular but El Dorado 1975 has 15 re-setting drop targets and if the game is set up well, maybe orange or yellow dot coils it is a blast and it ain't slow;) Should get mine late summer:) And it is a target shooters/players game as the special moves all over the place so have to shoot one drop fast!

Gigi might have 14 but only 3 are active; the other 11 are passive. Gottlieb's 1973 Big Shot has 14 drop-targets in 2 banks of seven, but for me, a distinct shortfall in the number of pop bumpers!
Really liked the come back they made on Metalica, hope we start seeing more on other new titles.
Along with recreations of entire machines (Medieval Madness and possibly Monster Bash) I predict we start seeing more nods to the past in games of the future. Little things like the outlane pop bumper on Wizard of Oz is like the Beast's Lair on Paragon.
