Hope you can advise me in a direction.
No turbo no coils dead.
In test mode all 3 Opto’s works and indicate.
All 3 magnet coil’s do nothing. No leds fire when tested. From what I can see all 3 magnet ccts are independent so can’t be the accelerator board???
I have 50v at the accelerator board and the 12v is fine as led on and Opto’s work.

Is the output on the power driver board hi going low or low to hi on j122 1,4 j122 4? 5v 12v to ground. This bit I’m not sure about for testing and what I should get.

Hope that makes sense, to you.

Thanks
Jez

Hi Jez,
J-122 will pull to ground, i.e. to low.
The Optos are in the switch matrix AND are driving the accelerator coils directly if the enable signals from the PDB are there. Enable signals are on J8 on the Accelerator board, pin 1/2/4. Check if they are there, they are going to U3. U3 drives U2 provided the opto end enable are on, U2 then drives the coils by pulling output pins high (pins 4, 11, 19). Check you're getting the right signals on testing there.

Also, what are LED 2/3/4 doing? Think they should go on when the opto is interrupted.

That’s great thank you will look at that.
You think led 2,3,4 work from Opto not the enable. Can look at all that now. Thanks for the help and pointers. Will get back and let you know.

I had a similar experience, (IIRC) I found the secondary solenoid fuse blown on the driver board. I replaced it and they all worked once more. I would check your driver board fuses first as that's easy to do, just remember to remove from the holder before continuity testing them.

Not hurting to check but if there are all voltages (12 and 50) at the accelerator board it probably isn't the fuse.
Yes, they definitely work from the Opto.

Hi, thanks for the help, have it sorted now. Accelerator board did have the voltages and Was being driven correctly pins being sent low.
Magnet power was being switched, so I pulled the turbo out, ended up being the interconnects having poor connections. De-pinned and cleaned the sockets, not too easy but all back together and working.
Thanks for the help.
