How did I score so low?

Hosting meet 4 of the London & SE league, I scored on my own machine of The Simpsons Pinball Party 193,430, yes your eyes are correct one hundred and ninety three thousand, four hundred and don't forget the thirty!

How on Earth did I only get that? I mean 4 balls plunged and bounce around must score more than that....

What is you lowest / most embarrassing score?

I mean 193,430..... I can not get over it!

Don't feel bad, I watched my dad plunge 4 balls in a row on my BK2K without hitting a single thing. I don't think I've ever seen something quite so amazingly bad.

Lowest score, I'm sure that is somewhere on F-14 as that is a killer game. Can't remember what it was though, probably under 20,000.

Northern Region, 2013-14 Season, Meet 5, 11.05.14
390,043,820 on AFM.
Anything under 1,000,000,000 is borderline pathetic.
30th place of 30 players.
It was the only game on the list which I actually own and could've practised on. Then again, i've probably played it more on the iPad than anything else. My machine's been out of action for nearly 6months now (shameful).
Came 3rd of 30 on Alien Poker. Never played it before. Logic?

I'd love to use the F-14 in competition. Still never made his board though 3.7 million was the best, it's just not enough! The difficulty in that table makes you come back for more everytime.

I played one at the 3rd midlands meet this year, it was totally different to mine and threw me off play wise, I don't think I did much better! It is a cool tournament game, especially with the lights that spin around on the top. I LED'd mine a while back with superbrights, my friends call it the epilepsy machine lol.

Any pre ballsaver pin can produce stupidly low scores.

Nowt worse than the ball's bonus being greater than the score on that ball.

Yeah it does look well nice with LED. He's slowly putting in a few at a time. Most of GI is done, translite, the upper tomcat target lights area & the kill lights. Huge difference. Take a picture sometime of yours, would love to see it all finished.

Willdo, might pop out there tonight. I said sod it and did mine in 1 day, did the GI, playfield and translite all in 1 day and took around 6 hours with breaks. (translite took maybe 30 minutes, under playfield and GI around 3 hours each due to removing bits to get to inserts and getting under stuff).

My best score so far on VECTOR is 809,900, so that's my benchmark, but I've managed to shoot 3 balls and none of them have even touched the flippers. A free ball is awarded if it drains without scoring anything, but I think I've managed to rack up as little as 3,000 points from 3 balls hitting just one or two switches before draining directly down the centre. It's an odd machine: most of the time it plays hard but then occasionally it's a total **** and just kills you.

As for PARAGON my first high score after I resurrected it from the grave remains my lowest, but far and away my most memorable and exciting game of pinball!

So I decided that as the GI powered up without incident I'd try plugging in the other boards. I started with the A3 Solenoid/Regulator board as without it nothing else will work (and it had been tested OK before I bought the machine). Then I plugged in the rest: A4 MPU, A5 Lamp Driver and A8 Sound. Held my breath and switched it on... MPU started flashing then kicker solenoid thumped then BINGO! all lights flashing and the ready to play tune! So, I couldn't resist. I don't have any rubbers but I popped in my ball and played my first game. HIGH SCORE: 23,100 AWESOME :)

Part and parcel of pinball. I've managed lots of high scores and likewise many low scores over the years. One of the more memorable (yes I like to forget them just as much as the next person) was 217M on AFM in the Shine Charity Competition in January. Thankfully I still managed to qualify and make the final, finishing third, so not all bad.

My epic last place score in the 2012 competition at Daventry. Thankfully also the same year the Joker card was introduced.
My memory is that I tilted trying to get the first ball into the skill shot. The second ball tilted practically as I plunged (probably still bobbing from the first tilt), and the third ball was nothing to write home about either...

Best one I ever seen was a guy at one of the shows playing Whitewater, he fully plunged each ball and each ball flew right round and straight down between the flippers.
No ball save so a very low score.
I remember him walking off saying what a pile of poo the machine was.

Gonna do some Thai Chi outside before I attempt to play in this torny again. Shocking.

I was pretty gutted with my 9 million on Metallica Pro at John's place on Sunday, Sod's law I scored over 100 million in the warm up. The worst part is I have a METLE at home which I play all the time.
Then again Met can be brutal, it is not uncommon for me to score over 300 million followed by a game score of 5 million.

Owning a TAF lets me think I know how to play it but as each one is very different, I instinctively react in a way my machine would reward and screw up.
Well done to @Wizcat for 755,130 though as that is impressive but knowing you tilted on two balls means all the end of round bonus were lost so it now makes a lot more sense.

My JM has a lovely habit of shooting the ball around the table and into the outlanes. All at a speed that my eyes can barely keep up with. I regularly get scores of 200,000 or so, but ignore them all until I get my 10 mins of perfect play which I can only manage after a good 2 hours of being punished. One day, ill get that consistency and turn up to all these competitive meets in a pink leotard chanting the MM theme tune as I arrive. Might even get some family members to throw plastics of old machines beneath my feet as I walk, rosebearer style. Hmmm.
