This bracket that holds the big kick arm spindle to the pf appears wrong and is only securing the arm on one side. Does anybody have one of these or know where to source? Perhaps one of you guys could kindly remove after the sledge hammering this part should survive it :)

Look what I found from the sweeping out parts when I first go the machine - @BigIan any idea on this? The part looks intact/correct the only thing I can think is that perhaps the screws weren't securing and the holes need packing. Alternatively perhaps it just fell into the machine and hid.

Nope, I certainly didnt replace it or have a spare I stored in there

I never really did any work on that table (as you could probably tell) I just played it and then folded it up as I got more tables

That's the magic of the Hook, if you need a part it self generates in the bottom of the cab, even had the decency to supply an extra matching red bolt. Part, dremmeled up, fitted and Bangeranged!

What's strange is that this is one of the only steel mech's everything around it is the brassy colour.

The part you found @astyy looks like it'd line up perfectly with the holes on either side of the current bracket, which doesn't look quite right. I bet it takes a right hammering and those screws worked loose and got over-tighten too many times and eventually were just too loose. The bracket fell off and whoever decided the best option was to fit another bracket with different holes.

I had similar issues with the slingshot on GOLD BALL. It was only held on with 1 screw. It's one of those newer "linear" slingshots and I think only uses 3 screws. Well that ain't enough for a big coil! Grab some wood PVA and use it to pack the hole with cocktail sticks. And then use some nice sharp fresh screws and couple of days later when it's dried rock hard. On the slingshot I think I drilled another 2 holes so now it has 5 holding it in place. That bracket looks as though you could easily get another pair of holes on the left side. Just pilot drill the playfield with 1mm drill so you don't de-laminate the ply. Job done ;)
