Hey guys
Sorry to keep boring you with posts about Corvette!
Everything else is cosmetic or has a work around. This… I’m not so sure.

So I’m missing a gate at the exit of the engine ramp. This is a coil controlled gate and a part seemingly not used on any other game.

Can’t find one anywhere and my only hope is a junk populated playfield!!

Is it worth forgetting this project over a poxy metal gate which renders the machine unplayable?

Are there any corvette owners who could take some detailed pics and measurements of the mechanism so someone could fabricate something similar from scratch.

Seems ridiculous to shelve the entire project over a gate but it’s cheesed me off. Am I just being a drama queen because I’ve got a hangover!!

Half of the anxiety about it, is not fully understanding how the ramp and gate is supposed to function during gameplay.
Any corvette owners able to put me at ease here or do I have an ornament. Here’s a pic of the sellers request a few years ago

Gaz, I'm sure something could be put together to fix the issue of the missing gate.
If I remember correctly I had to put something together for the Corvette I had a while ago, it also had the gate missing.

Pull yourself together soldier !! You will get through this .... No machine gets left behind ! Ever !

Also, from memory (alittle rusty as i sold my corvette 18 years or so ago!) but i think the rear gate it to allow the ball through the engine as a ramp shot for combos, or to stop it and keep the ball in there for when multiball start and you have to rev the engine up keeping the ball in there for as long as possible

Gate often gets removed as the engine never works properly anyway.

It should work fine, its often an issue with the control board that moves the engine left and right iirc, there's 4 coils underneath it. Complex system that can go wrong hence the gate removal.
