I do a lot of DIY, plumbing etc in addition to messing with pinballs. Having seen the professionals using head torches, I decided to try getting a good one - as opposed to the cheapos I had tried before

Santa bought me one of these, a LED Lenser H14.2. They cost about £53 and take 4 AA batteries. There is a rechargeable version available, but it is cheaper to use your own rechargeable batteries in there

Very good. Focusing beam. Warns you when batteries low. Very powerful. Dimmable light. I have found it very useful when fixing the vector and getting the coal in

My brother-in-law asked for a CREE torch for Christmas. I'd never heard of CREE before, thinking it was a brand of torch, but they're actually a US LED maker. I got him a kit with torch and rechargeable battery (with both mains and car charger), and adapter to use standard batteries, and belt pouch for around £15 from Amazon. Torch is ruddy mental bright!
