Wanted Gottlieb ribbon connector for sound board

I am looking for a small 20 pin ribbon connector that fits bewteen the two sound boards on the system 3.

I *may* have the bits needed to make that cable (but they could be 16 pin, 18 pin or even 24 pin!)

I'll have a look tomorrow and see exactly what I have, if it's 20 pin ones then I should be able to knock you one up (or send you the bits to do it)

Well, I have 16 pin narrow and 24 pin wide - nothing in between.

you may be able to knock something usable up by putting two 16 pin ones side by side on the same cable - not perfect, but you are welcome to some if they may help

They do come with a special tool, but you can just clamp them in a vice

failing that, if you plan to order the made up one from the ebay add, let me know, because the same place does a kit to improve the reliability of williams DMD boards which I keep thinking of getting - may help with the postage cost! (I think the kit is £3 but the postage is about £8)

Would always be willing to help out where I can but in this instance I have been battling getting this machine going for around a month and I don't fancy waiting another one for a part from USA.

I have the original connector but it would seem some of the pins have been snapped off. They don't like fiddling with too much.

If I cannot find one locally in the next day or two though I will send you a pm and see if you still want to go ahead?

Don't suppose you have any freddy speaker grills do you?
