Did many of these make it over here? Says 2,000 were made, so not huge numbers at all, did it play very well, anyone have one?

Only time I have seen or played Gladiators is in the US - so no ..not many in the UK.

Cool game ...One of the few Gott DMDs I would consider , at least for the fugly corner.

Gladiators is on my future hit list.... Alongside the majority of Gottlieb machines never played one though but it's a lovely looking game

Never played one sadly.
Some gotts are sadly overlooked.
For example mgow, tag team and big house are all little known but great fun

I spied one at arcade warehouse in 2002 but the translite was missing. Said l could offer £100 as that would be unobtainable and they agreed. 5 months later Gary Flower picked up a new old stock one in the US for $10. Story doesnt end with any great result as even as a complete working game best l could get on eBay was £375. Folks dont like Gottlieb
That machine was Italian. Dont think it got distributed here when new A lot of the late Gottliebs werent.

It was rare but I remember playing one in Cleethorpes I think around 2000

One up for sale in France but at 2500 euros, looks expensive.

A guy called Alan had one for sale a few years back for £1200. Not sure if it was the one John bought. Hard to tell as John makes them look so good after he is done with them.
It was high up on my list of gotts to buy as it is a really fun and fast game. However the modes can be timed out rather quickly.
