Today I have been mainly looking over a few prospective pins and found a beaut... An honest original fully working AFM with neon saucers, minimal wear and un-faded cabinet which has spent its last 14 years in private use. Now how much of a wedge would it take to acquire such a jewel ?

a fair bit! Not to state the obvious, but surely the owner would be more likely to quote you a price? Out of interest what other ones have you just seen?

... asking a fair bit more than I thought ...... in that I presumed 3.5 to 4.5K would see most AFM's change hands? Or am I just too optimistic?. I have always gone on 3 x Ordinary pins for an AFM and 4 x for a MM.

they're top bubble these days, AFMs, but still i'd be surprised to see one go for more than 4500, even one so minty you could brush your teeth with it

I'm with Dan on this, £4.5K for a minty original or top end restoration and work down from there. If they're asking more then IMO they're asking too much, however as always it depends how bad someone wants it :)

The AFM with custom cab decals went last year for £4500 and was as minty as you will ever find. He's taking a lend of you if he's asking for more than that

I remain The eternal Optimist....The owner put this particular AFM back in "The Vault" for another day ........ I'll re-considered n buy one once pinball becomes less popular........
