Godzilla flipper problem

After swapping the flipper buttons the right flipper wasn’t returning properly (flips fine but very slowly drops)

Thought I’d done something to the switch so was trying to adjust it - during my online searches was told to check the flipper without power still slow

Again whilst searching online found mentions of gold flecks in the cab - which points to the coil stops (so ordered a set to replace) and have ordered flipper rebuild kit and new bushings

My real question is - with the coil and coil stop off the flipper is still slow to return is there anything else it could be beyond a flipper replacement?

If it’s doing this without power it’s not coils stops or connectors.
There should be some slight up/down play in the flipper if you lift it up (away from playfield) check this. If not create a sllight gap so you have this movement.
Then check the coil sleeve, is it filthy, warped, melted - basically is the flipper plunger binding inside the sleeve, if so replace sleeve.
Has the end of the plunger mushroomed? And is binding inside the sleeve, file plunger edge or replace if it is.
Has the flipper return spring pinged off, if it has replace.

Hey thank you for the reply - with coil and sleeve off I notice it is still slow so isn’t entirely them or plunger - spring still attached and doesn’t seem damaged

Good shout on the flipper play will check that

After that it would be worth checking the flipper bushing isn’t damaged, and that the clamp on the flipper shaft isn’t loose, I’ve also seen the EOS switch actuator get stuck on the end of the EOS leaf switch before but this caused the flipper to just stay raised when I had this.
