Glasgow pub Pin on tournament

Found this interesting:

I popped into the Solid rock cafe in Glasgow tonight, to find that they are running Rolling Stones in tournament mode!

Basically, if you get highest score (6days left) you win a cash kitty! nice

The guy currently in the lead is in line for about forty quid so far, I got my name up 3rd and I am line for £5.20.......

If you get a high score ( in tournament mode 2 credits) you enter your name and a 4 digit pin code to quote when you collect your winnings.

I understand the kitty goes up, with details displayed on the screen.

Of course, I am now going to read the rules and head in tomorrow night

They do the same thing with the Stern IJ at the old times pub in Ipswich. Everytime I get on

The scoreboard I'm soon knocked off again though :-(

They also do the same thing in The Bear pub in Bedford town centre. Only problem is, at the moment they have got a Stern IJ2008 in there, which has a DMD that blanks out when you have a good game.

the coin mech is sticky on the rolling stones. we went in about 5 weeks ago, nice pinball. the last pinball was avatar and was bolted to the floor, no bumping on it. for £40 i might nip in and give it another blast. when we popped in for a game, there was an old guy sitting next to it. after i fired it up and played my ball, the old guy says to me "that was a good shot son you werent on very long" cheeky old git, lucky he didnt get hooked

I was getting right into it last night, forgot where I was and found everyone in the pub was looking at me when I lost my 3rd ball!

They have the same with a Stern IJ at the Waters Edge pub in Nottingham. Looking at the above posts, IJ 08 seems to be a popular one for this type of thing.

when i went for a game i thought steve who was with me was going to walk away from me. maybe its a wee shorty thing, we do like to get into playing it, kinda kicking the crap out of pinballs. i might nip in later today when i have picked up roz. i havent put my name up on a pinball since, well last weekend

im heading in today, i will be through about 12.30 maybe nearer 1 oclock. apparently its free parking in glasgow just now. rolling stones, challenge accepted.

john bud now holds second and third place. i had to wait while 2 guys played a ball then talked then played a ball and talked, eventually i got a few credits. the coin mech is still gubbed, it took 5 minutes to get some cash into it. in total i spent £6, but won £20 on theyre puggy so all in all not too bad. parking was a nightmare i had to park way down the road in 1 of the multistory car parks. still 3 days left though.

Which happens to be more than the 1st place got - £27.50 - boy is he ****ed lol

The mchine does have a fault, very occasionally it loses count of the balls, thinking they are drained when still on the playfield? It does a Locating balls warning at the start....

Left it with a 1st high score tonight - new tournament has 5 days left

give me a shout beforehand and i will get a train or bus through. im pretty sure the big hairy guy got got the picture lol. the op was just being a helmet. i never got a run at it, the best i got was about 6 credits max. the day i met you i think was 2 or 3. so yeah mofo bring it on need more wee face guys. but give me a shout and im in.
