Had some nice messages from Geoff @Calimori today. I think he may be finding his pin mojo again. Please say high to him and let’s welcome him back into the fold with open arms

I posted in the newbie forum the other day as I feel like a newbie: https://www.pinballinfo.com/community/threads/new-members-say-hello-right-here.1271/post-351466
This house was using up all my time, I built the log cabin moved the pin's in and then got caught up in the renovations, worked on the house until all the reserves dried up. Then a baby came... The most time consuming thing I have ever got involved in.

The pins all need some TLC but I am going to start solving that this evening and get out into the cabin after the kid is asleep.

The hydraulic lift got caught at the wrong end of the property in the garage with an old EM machine (which left last year). I don't really need it so should get around to selling it on.

Had a couple of messages from Dan last month. If I remember rightly he put a brief appearance at my meet last year but I think his pin mojo is long gone.

Whatever happened to Dan he was a top chap
didn't he get a bit drunk and go on the offensive towards a new member who was flashing the cash a bit strongly back then? There was also a divorce and kids involved. Was sad to witness it all on here. Hope he's ok though. I also miss his avatar.

Probably easier to get flour out of an Hawaiian shirt though.🤣

I suspect that might be too obscure a reference for anyone in a different age bracket along with knowing the hardship of walking ****ed down stairs in a nightclub wearing spurs and realising that the Slimelight can solve problems with ****/vomit/other things simply through the use of cat litter. 🤮

Which gig was that last year, I am going to stab at Stylus? I kept expecting a last minute London gig but nothing happened.
Given that one guy wears a sooty puppet and a lot of guys have no shirts on at all, I would think they would get the humour from a Hawaiian shirt. There was a guy in a regular suit the other year, looked like an accountant.

I made the mistake of wearing vintage victorian clothes to the slimelight the first time I went and it was tough to get the powders out of them. Or the smell.

Yeah it was Stylus. Great gig. I work at Leeds University and the gig was the same day as the Staff Festival so I got ****ed ath the festival, met my mate and straight into the gig.
To be fair 99% of people found it funny but there were one or two ‘professional‘ goths giving me a disgusted look.
The Hawaiian shirt and the Sisters Of Mercy tattoo on my arm probably broke their mind.

I can imagine the ones you are talking about, I wonder if they are the same at every gig?
Most of the professional Goths from the 80's and 90's have been corrupted by life; be it a job, mortgage or kids. I was a bit late to the scene but until I took a swan dive off facebook, I had contacts who I had looked up to from afar, who made money from the scene and live the life. But when you see them in normal everyday facebook situations, it shows that these gig 'professional' are taking it too seriously. If you have never tried to drunkenly pass through to the other side on a space hopper, or drunkenly summon Cthulhu at a birthday party with a haggis then you are nobody. God I miss those days.

Good to see you back dude!

I'm still waiting for Dean (Fintan Stack) to make a re-appearance with his badgers :p

Last night I fixed a small but significant problem on TAF which was stopping it going into multiball and ruining the game.
I then got to play 70 minutes of undisturbed pinball. I am crap. But what a rush.
You put more than one ball in ? ;)

We have all been there, right?
IJ somehow had seven balls in it after a party a few years back, not sure where someone found a spare ball or who decided to add it.
But this was a loose wire on a micro switch.
