Hot off the tails of the games you wished you hadnt sold and games you wish you had bought, I think a more interesting thread would be games you wish you hadnt bought.

Games you bought, setup and after 1 game regretted it.

Games you bought "fully working" that were far from accurate and were a pain to fix.

Luckily Ive not bought enough to have had that regret yet.

I remember driving after work to Manchester and picking up Tommy, a game i was so excited to get. I arrived so late that i collect it all wrapped up and got home around 2am. Worked all the next day and rushed home to play it. I set it up and only then realised that the music wasn't by The Who!! It was already for sale before i finished the first game.

This was at the very begining of my pinball journey and before pinsound was available.

I am going to say Game of Throne LE.

I had wanted this game for a while and when I got it, it was just crap! I got to the wizard mode after about a week (which for a player of my level is unheard of).

Sold it after just a few weeks and was glad to see the back of it! I don’t think the crap ending to the show helped, as I loved the books!

Dialed in LE NIB.

Poor build quality, part baked software, ridiculous amount of airballs, took me hours and hours to set the damned thing up properly, rubbish subcomponents ...

X-Men LE ( Magneto NIB ).

Quite possibly worst early code ever.

It was shocking and took years to become a good game.

Sold mine for a big loss to someone in Majorca as no one wanted it in UK!

Reactions: DRD
Freddy's Nightmares - loved t when it came out but one I bought did not play great and really didn't enjoy.

Judge Dredd - likewise, my example played poorly and couldn;t get rid of it quickly enough.

Big Buck Hunter - bit of a knee jerk reaction after having missed out on 7 machines in a row. Too shallow for me.

Disliked T3 from the first ball

Munsters wasn't far behind.

Every game has some redeeming features fora couple of plays though.

STTNG. The theme put me off but it was always highly rated on Pinside. Bought one off Andy Heighway and the guns never worked properly on it. Knew it was a turd on day one.

WMS IJ never gelled with me either for some reason. Just found it a total clunk fest

Most disappointing game is Funhouse. I had one 20 years ago and didn’t really like it - I wanted to like it so I bought another one this year to give it a second chance….but no, still didn’t really like it.

I do realise that’s my fault not the fault of the highly rated game!

Worst game ever from first play onwards was Black Pyramid, no redeeming features for me on that one!

No regrets on the couple of machines I have bought so far. But with the current market the way it is I am very cautions on what I would like to own next.

What didn’t you like about Jaws?
I just don’t like elwin games and wanted to give it a chance because of the theme bring my fav film but it just sucks big time 😭😭

Probably because I’m not a tournament player but I found the rules very frustrating and annoying!! I could hear elwin saying ‘well if you can’t do this 4 shot combination then your **** so suck it up..🤣🤣

It had to go…

I have to be honest, I am also not a huge fan of his games (I hate Godzilla for example), but again, I am not a good player.

I really want to like Dracula but there’s something about it that I loathe. For a long while I thought it was the colour scheme I hated but it’s the whole thing. Like Dirty Harry but actually worse. Every now and again I’ll return to it to see what I’m missing but it never clicks.
