Hi All,

So in between working on my currently taken apart (mostly) BSD I thought I would take some cameras, tripods and attempt to film some game play videos of my games. I would recommend viewing on youtube itself rather than the smaller versions here so you can actually see what is going on (or hit the small button that says view in full screen, bottom right of the player).

And a bonus BK2K one I did a nearly a year ago now.

What I would actually appreciate is any feedback/advice anyone would like to give. I think I have the camera angles down for the gameplay so you can see what is happening (protip, a stool and very tall tripod came in most handy for this!). I tried to make the F-14 one a bit more interesting as I'm sure how aware most of you are of the ass-kicking factor of this game so it was hard to get a longer video of it, I was impressed I managed a fighter jackpot first go!

I'm looking at doing more in the future of BSD when it is done and a video showcasing the wizard mode on T3. Hope you all enjoy!

Downloaded , straight into front-end. I have use for vids like these :) Thanks

Have you tried making them like the PAPA videos. One cam rotated 90 degrees showing just the bottom of the translite with score/dmd.

Ones like these are cool too.

I did try doing that at first, however the tripod I have won't allow me to rotate it in that fashion (It will go left right, foward and backwards but not up and down when rotated) so unless I build some sort of rig or invest in another tripod I can't do it. Might look at one with a ball connector though if they exist. I'm pretty sure PAPA use their own purpose built rig which is super fancy like this.

The first frame in that thread looks like it's been taken from someones (gym) weights.

Nice work Sam,
Love the attention to detail like zooming in on video mode and your commentary. Must be close to a record playing a game of F14 in under a minute? lol

Also good to see the back glass at the same time as the DMD and watch the flashers, one thing I miss on modern sterns is back box flashers. F14 has fantastic light shows, although a shame the beacons are not back in action after going down in a blaze of glory

Nice work @Archyta5! My only suggestion would be some more ambient lighting to better see the playfield in F14 and T3, as sometimes when the lights go into "crazy mode" it gets very flashy as the camera attempts to deal with it.

Thanks! Yes I'm on cheapo cameras so that would help, I shall look into it. I also might look at some for the backbox as they look quite dark.
