FULL THROTTLE LAUNCH EVENT INVITATION.jpg FULL THROTTLE LAUNCH PARTY INVITATION.jpg

Hi everyone,

I'm proud to announce our official Full Throttle Launch Event and Launch Party

The events take place at The Pipeline Bar http://www.thepipelinebar.co.uk in Central London on Friday 16th January, 2015

With 4 Full Throttles on freeplay, there will be tournaments with prizes, a food buffet and a performance at 9pm by REDLINE http://www.redlinerock.com/redline_official_website_for_redline_rock_band.html - the band that provides all the music on Full Throttle

If you are interested in attending, please email us at info@heighwaypinball.com

We hope to see you there!

Andrew

just thinking it's been very quite about this. Hope it was a good turn out and the machines went down well.

Dan backed out. All that internet porn won't watch itself you know;)

Don't think Thomas is around at the moment

Surely Martin etc must have been there.

i was gonna go instead of the EAG show, but then i found myself at the excel.

after i went to the show i decided not to make myself suffer by sitting in a bar drinking soda water or lemonade -i'd seen the game already and it looked to me like the new ones weren't gonna be ready in time. i hope to read about it from the Heighwayman himself very soon

The event went very well, but numbers were very low. Very few people went from the UK pinball community.

Shame as it was a historic event for the UK.

Could be our first and last UK launch event, as I may now concentrate on other markets in the future

Shame about the numbers Andy. Any idea when you're expecting to ship your first sale? That really will be a historic event as the first proper UK pinball (as far as I know) hope it's soon.

Andy,

Maybe because there was EAG, then then the launch the day after - Had it been the same day as one of the EAG days, i suspect there would have been lot more there... (especially in the middle of London!).

Personally i didnt make EAG or the Launch.... Car troubles again forced me to miss the lot... typical! :(

Would have gone perhaps if it was closer. Say Birmingham, Landan is too far for this soldier..

Not surprised it was low on numbers. Two weeks notice. 5 hours on a Friday night in London. Only locals would be able to attend. And after a busy day at work. And charging them £10 for the privilege...

Shame, but should have been a Saturday whole day event, perhaps alongside a tournament with lots of other machines?

@Heighway Pinball since you're here, Andy, tell us about the general feedback you got at the show. you know i loved the game, as i enthused to you already how i thought it was the most fun pinball machine in the building - and i was only playing the prototype! what did others say - the good and the bad, if you're brave?

Unfortunately getting into London and back on a Friday evening just isn't going to happen for me. Shame as would have loved to support Heighway Pinball's first launch event.

I went along in the afternoon and had a great time. Very happy to support a UK based pinball manufacturer.
I love the speed of Full Throttle and the code is quite deep. My favourite mode was Red Mist where all the play field lights go red and I was told to complete that mode you need to make 30 ramp shots.
I didn't manage to finish that mode but did pretty well finishing on 455 million.
For my efforts I won some cool stuff.
Thanks Andy and crew.

Yea I would of gone if it was today or this evening instead. Friday night into London after work was a bit too much of a mission unfortunately.

Shame as I do really want to try out a Full Throttle and it wasn't at NLP either. :(

I'd probably have gone if there was free jelly and ice cream. I don't get out of bed unless there's free jelly and ice cream.

Appreciate you may be disappointed with the turnout Andy but surely this isn't the right response :(

Location, timing, FT already been at Pinball Party (once, twice?) and EAG days before all factors in this.

Andy, I loved the pinball ft when I played it, but you only have yourself to blame with people from the Uk, as you appear to be wanting to rip off your own countrymen on price, and expect them to like you ???
If you did the same model as stern in the U.S. does in his own backyard, I am sure you might feel the love of some over here.

Can only echo what's already been said, timing and organisation of it wasn't in your favour. Plus, a new company isn't going to be able to pull the crowds of the huge launches Bally/Williams used to have back in the day. That'll build over time though.

I was going to go but was completely knackered after walking around EAG on Thursday then not being able to sleep that night.

FT was pretty fun at the show though, shame I only got to play the prototype again as the finished model was out of action the whole time I was there!

Sorry Andy but it would be the timing and the day that put a lot of us off. A 6pm closing time wasn't going to give me enough time to get there after work.

I think the UK community is supportive of you and your company, far more than any others out there.
Make the machines and they will come.

Location was not good - London is a long way away for a lot of people on here.

Timing was not good - Getting to London on a Friday night coupled with the fact of only a couple of weeks notice and the same week as EAG.....well....the turnout isn't going to be great.

As @GrizZ now asks - as this was a Launch Party.....do we now have confirmed dates of shipping of FT?
