The new Four Quarters bar in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic park opens to the public today with a launch party. More details here https://m.facebook.com/fourquarterseast/?locale2=en_GB

As with the Peckham branch, there are over a dozen video games, craft beers, food, consoles and of course PINBALLS! Currently there are World Cup Soccer and Road Show.

It's a brand new venue, freshly decorated with comfortable sofa's a gamer's paradise.

Some (poor quality) pics taken on my phone. The bar is on the canalside near the copper box arena.

Oh man, proper nostalgia for Lucky & Wild, I loved that game when it came out in the arcades!

Place looks really good, I wouldn't mind doing something like this locally.

I popped in to the bar on Friday for a quick pint and some games.

Pins - pretty much immaculate the World Cup soccer in particular plays really nice. Probably the best one I have ever played. I can't really knock anything about the fish tales or road show. Definitely worth going for pinball.

The location is a bit strange, when I walked from Stratford it really does feel like it is in the middle of nowhere, if you are trying to find and it and you think "this can't be right?" Then you are going the right way!

The cabs are also really good, the SF2 and neo geo 4 slot which had KOF98! + metal slug is well worth a mention. Also they had a stand up super hang on which you don't see every day.

Really nice bar with good craft beer, I was proper ill (Man Flu) on the day so didn't stay long but can't wait to go back.

Maybe at some point we could arrange a bit of a pinball info meet up on a Saturday afternoon.

Hey Matt,
We didn't quite make it in the end, stopped by my bros place to play his TWD premium and before we knew it, it was too late to go.
I am planning on going to the Alien launch party on the 2nd of April.

only had 1 game on avatar, never played it before and i lost very quickly. the backglass didn't look lit or is that how it is?

ghostbusters played very well, we were on that for quite a while even though it was £1 a go when outrun dlx was 50p and everything else 25p. ;) do you control how much it costs?

The Avater choke has gone, i need to rewire the whole back box lighting.

I do make recommendations on the price per play, the bar would want it as cheap as possible as they only really want more business for the bar. However, as an operator getting a divided share any less per play makes putting games out unviable.

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the games, that bar has a good vide and on a sunny day its a great place to be.

yeah, i figured that would be the reasoning behind the price point per game. i wouldn't bat an eyelid if that's how much they are elsewhere, it's purely because their other games are cheaper to play that's why it seemed on the high side (not to mention it goes against the name of their barcade). i hope you can reach a deal with the owner(s) and supply more games to them. indeed there are always loads of people every time i go and they all seem to have a good time.
