Hi All

I'm after used Boulder garden plastics from a Whitewater (or anything similar from other machines). I rescue and rehome turtles ( the kind that people buy when they're the size of a 50p coin, not realising they're going to be the size of a small dinner plate within a few years!). I need to build a new floating platform for their pond as they have to be able to get out of the water to regulate their body temperatures and for the UV for their shells. The plan is to create a rocky effect platform - for obvious reasons I can't use real rocks on a floating platform! I've got some old Whitewater Boulder plastics here but not enough, so if anyone has any old damaged ones that you would be prepared to donate, please get in touch. Or any other suggestions would be appreciated!

Cheers

Colin

I thought of that, but its poisonous to them if they eat it - and they eat everything that stays still long enough!

That's why I asked if people had used or broken ones that they might have replaced and are otherwise of no use to anyone.

That is such a good cause I think I might just send you the set of the WH20 @Mooseman has loaned me, I'm sure he won't mind too much ;)
I may just think about it first though as his kick back and flipper strength may be more than I can take!
Seriously though I will ask around at work and see if we have anything that may do the job.

How big is the pond Colin? Pretty sure there are enough good problem solvers on here to come up with a solution. Maybe a photo of the pond would be good.
I had two terrapins when I was younger. First off was Terry the Terrapin. Then I got him a friend, who got called little terry. They died before they got huge , not sure why.

hi its 24 ft x12 ft runner bean shape what iam trying to cover a quarter to half size pallet the turtles<yellow bellied sliders> i have know are called raphael<female> daisy <male> derek<male>dave <female>these names were given by previous owners who didnot know how to sex them very difficult when small they normally die from overfeeding or shell rot thanks

If it was me I'd take a mould of some real rocks and cast it out of fibreglass. Or as I said before use 2 part expanding urophane foam shape and carve it to how you want then coat it in smooth cast 320 or fibre glass. That way they can't bite it it won't be toxic and it will float
