So I fitted a colour DMD to my machine (Stern with metal backbox/angled speaker panel) and although I paid extra for the mounting bracket, the gap between the speaker panel and DMD looks a bit pants.
It was pointed out to me that I should buy one of those foam gaskets which fit's around the DMD (which pinballdisplays.co.uk sells, but they are out of stock)

Probably along shot, but does anyone have a spare they'd be up for selling?

Cheers,

Den

Cool beans - I'm off to Canada this weekend on holiday, so did cross my mind to get one shipped from pinside to Canada to save on postage/shipping time, but let's see (prob no room in our case... was thinking of ordering some mods and have sent to our hotel too, but sods law, no one plaec has everything I want!...)

Bit of a DIY hack but I bought one of the small foam kneeling pads from Toolstation and cut it to size neatly with a blade and ruler. I needed to adjust the spacing of the display a little as I assume the pad is a little thicker than the gasket. The holes for the posts drilled easily enough with a 6mm drill. I was pleased enough with the results.

I’ve also found a bandsaw cuts foam pretty well in the past but I assume the proper gaskets are laser cut. I was going to get mine laser cut but some shops refuse to cut anything they don’t supply due to fume toxicity.

You can’t cut lots of materials in a laser as they highly toxic to the point of death if fumes inhaled.
Imaging breathing in some of the fumes then they solidify in your lungs.
Foam would clog an expensive BOFA filter in no time and the side effect from the fumes is the acidic effect of it eating the bearings, rails and mechanical parts beyond repair.
I’ve seen some horrendous stuff on the laser forums.
Me I had some packing foam I applied blackout felt too and it worked better than the ColouDMD one that’s about £25 delivered.

I have plenty blackout material I bought for my Cinema room Den if you want me to post you some FOC.
