Can some knowledgeable person please tell me what the colour coding is for flipper strengths on Bally Williams games?

Thanks!!!

Need to make sure I have a max strength coil on the right flipper of Demo Man to make that upper left ramp!!

Hello,

For Williams parallel wound coils, the descending order is Blue, Red, Green, Yellow, with Orange added in place of Red as the 'standard' rating, for Fliptronic games.

Though I now remember that some early examples of Demolition Man had odd flipper coils. One at work had been the U.K distributor Deith Leisures' showroom sampler, AIR the coil wrappers were White.

as stated above, but use the ones the manual says to use. Going higher power usually just leads to broken plastics and other parts. If the stock level coils aren't working its way more likely a mechanical issue in the flipper parts. Coils don't get weak (incredibly rarely) they work or don't. Its either shorted dead or a broken wire. either way they don't work.

Discovered exactly this today - had bought a new shooter coil for my LW3 & just got round to fit it. Went to remove the old one - one of the holding screws was almost out, the other just a bit loose. The coil was wandering all over the place - just tightened it up & the ball launched better than it ever has in the 3 years I've owned it. S'pose I now have a new coil in my spares :)
