Just goes to show, Novus is a waste of dollar and elbow grease, just buy a flame soldering iron

most gas soldering irons can do this - just make sure it;s got a flame attachment.



Out of interest i wonder if you could do this with VERY hot air as opposed to flame... just a thought...

I bought a gas powered solder iron years ago, great bit of kit and now has one more use.

I did need to use novus to remove the dirt first...
