Been meaning to fix my intermittent GI for a while. Finally got around to it. Changed both sets of header pins and sockets. Turned it on, lit up like a Christmas tree. Beautiful.
Played a game, pressed the flippers. Reset.
Ok so I've had the power board out. Reseated the usual connectors multiple times.
Better, but still resetting. Cleaned the pins on the connectors with a fibre brush. Played a couple of games. Looking good then, reset.
In the end I had to take the power board back out and change the headers pins on the power connectors (J105 and the other one near the CPU board).
Finally sorted but what a pain in the ****.

Anybody else had similar tales of woe ?

Yeah. Unplugged my RS shaker (old ROMs!) for a late night game and then replugged it with pins offset. Blew the driver tranny next time it was turned on... ****.

Arnold says it best...
