Sooooo ....what games grabbed people at the Slam ? Whats maybe on yr hit list now, or what old title did you rediscover or reassess.

As always I played so few games  When we packing up I just kept seeing so many titles I had meant to get a game on, pins and vids....but just didnt find the time. Oh well.

From the few I managed to play ....Phantom Of The Opera was nice to return to - felt like a good solid DE game with some thought going into the whole package.

Cactus Canyon
Medieval Madness
Congo
Stargate
Flinstones

Mainly as I'd never, or hardly played them before. Congo, Stargate and Flintstones are on the 'achievable' want list now.

I enjoyed Phantom, such a lovely looking machine with great sound effects.
Baywatch proved itself to be a great machine and Surf and Safari back screen made me laugh so all three would go on my list.

Only managed one game on Phantom, was always busy that one and then in the comps on the Sunday. At least not far from me to have another go ! :)

I'd forgotten about our critical appraisal of SnS backglass .....monkeys in sunglasses are always a winner

For me it was paragon and shadow. Really enjoyed those. I didn't play as much as I'd of liked, too busy gassing!'

Defo need a whole weekend next time.

Really enjoyed Baywatch on the Saturday night :) Swords of Fury was mega and I always like a game on Godzilla (must have one someday). Playing the different AC/DC's was awesome (Stan's one in particular). Of the vids, got to play some Outrun which is my fav game of all time and Gorf was very cool :D

Swords of Fury - never played one before, really enjoyed it - rolled over the score on my 2nd game :D
The Matrix - amazingly well done conversion
Cactus Canyon Reloaded - Cowboys vs Aliens with "Banagarang" soundtrack was quite cool

Didn't get to play Phantom as I was running the NBA all day Saturday, & it was in the competition on Sunday :(

Also really enjoyed playing games that I've not seen much - X-files, ID4, Tommy, Avatar, Godzilla, BTTF etc

I really enjoy all eras of pinball & often wish there were more EM machines at show, again so I could play machines not played before.

Big thanks to EVERYONE that took a game - whether it was new/old, immaculate/player's machines, "top" title/considered s**te - all machines are appreciated.

Regards,
Dan.

SoF is such a cool Sys 11 game, the theme , layout, and stunning music really well done. However my one gripe with it is once you get used to it ...you can play forever, very controllable, and way too easy to get multiball started, though getting the Jackpot is tough. Was the reason I let mine go in the end.

Enjoyed Chris's High Speed mainly cause it was peach to look at and the big surprise is it played as good as it looked,. Great substitute for the fallen Flash Gordon.
Didn't get to play anywhere near as much as I wanted but there was a great selection of some great games on offer.

Just as well me n Rav,took out the extra balls in there that stopeed it from playing then : )

The Matrix was incredibly slick. Loved the game on that.

Cue Ball Wizard was enjoyable as well. Think it was on a very tight setting as it played different to the PC version, even so...Good to be a challenge!

Scared Stiff, well that goes without saying! lol

Cirqus Voltaire...I've seen this somewhere but can't think where. Either way, was fun to play at the Slam and got a good couple games in. Managed to drop-catch off the Ringmaster once or twice which looked good but of course was a "How did I manage to do that?" moment.

Apart from them, tables such as Bride of Pinbot and Surf n Safari I did enjoy but could have done with a bit of practise elsewhere as I didn't get nearly as far as I would have wanted on the games...Especially with the former. That ramp shot is difficult.

All great to play and looked stunning
Matrix -
ACDC -
Startrek
Spider-Man
Adams family

AC/DC - Always fun and I especially liked the Variant translite/ topper version.
Bride of Pinbot - Fun game I've not managed to get my hands on before for some reason.
Medieval Madness - With ColorDMD. Very nice machine
Cactus Canyon - (v2.0 or whatever - The one that booted into Win7 on startup)
NBA Jam - Linked mode of course. The tournament was ace fun, even if I did get pretty badly whupped.
Tommy - Finally, a non-Williams game I like...
Junkyard - Fun game with wacky sense of humour, always a big plus for me.
Theatre of Magic - Liked it so much I bought one ;)

I'm all retro so was delighted to play Warlock but missed out on Paragon (in comp and then dead) and Elektra (it got confused after "losing" a ball).

I was pleasantly surprised by Junk Yard - put half a dozen games on that. Congo was great too and as always NBA Fastbreak was a hoot!

Biggest surprise for me was really enjoying Star Trek. I'm not a fan of modern Stern's. I think they look cheap and flimsy, and I find most of the packages rather garish. But ST looked stunning! The ultra-bright super-white LED lighting worked with the theme really well and it looked as though they'd taken the attention to detail and quality up a couple of notches. It also played wicked fast and although I only had a few games I got right into it straight away.

I had two games on NBA Fastbreak, once with @replicas and then with @RudeDogg1. It helps that I have watched both machines as Geoff-the-Ref to know how to score on them. Great games when connected, I would have a pair at home if there was a regular chance of someone competing against me.
