For those going to Vöcklabruck for the EPC, what are your travel thoughts?

I've been invited to go, but not sure about flights/train/car rental options.
Flying to Salzburg is closest, but flights are limited and expensive compared to Vienna.
There's a direct train from Vienna to Vöcklabruck too, so thinking that might be the best option.

I was working on the assumption of flying to Salzburg and renting a car, but I’m very much open to better suggestions

A few of us are looking at flying into Vienna from stansted on the Wednesday and back to the uk on the following Monday. No decision yet on if we rent a car/van or get a train. Accommodation has already been booked

Did you find anything in Vocklabruck? I’ve provisionally booked a room (which I can cancel if I don’t get a ticket / find something better) but it’s the next town over in Timelkam.
