EM Pinball Price Inflation?

I'm still relatively new to this hobby but in the 2 years I've been following the scene, I've noticed quite a significant increase in the cost of machines. I currently own a Gottlieb EM and looking to replace it with a SS one (I only have space for one game). Do people think EM prices will go down, stay the same, or increase in the foreseeable future? Trying to decide whether I should sell now or wait until a suitable SS comes up. Thanks.

Supply and demand. Demand currently in excess of supply hence rising prices, plus inflationary price increases of parts and new machines.

A hike in base interest rate and subsequent mortgage rate increases could see supply increase and demand decrease, possibly giving rise to cheaper prices. Who knows. crystal ball gazing.

Em prices may go up or down or stay the same ,who knows . If you only have space for one machine , then sell it on and buy another machine . Now if you have room for two machines side by side , then that EM will fit under the the two ,😉

During times of economic uncertainty people tend to take their money out of the bank and buy hard assets instead. Usually things like classic cars. The price rockets. Eventually when things even out the prices drop but never return to what they were.

Apply that to pinball machines how you will.

At some point we're bound to see certain machines only being affordable to the super rich. We may be there already. In fact arguably any pinball machine is unaffordable for most people already. I had to buy a pair of shoes for a stranger this time last year as he couldn't afford a pair. That sort of thing really does make you feel like a twat spending thousands on games.

unaffordable
Well, unjustifiable, definitely. Some of us kinda can push to a title but there's no way I can justify spending like there's no tomorrow on games, if I could I would. When you need to spend money keeping a car on the road, pinball machines will just have to wait.

Most of my friends have 1 hobby - be it cars or Arcade Machines and both leaves them with little left over. Try to afford a new house/building work too? Can't do it or certainly can't justify it.
As lovely as some EM's look I really have no desire to own one ever again, not the way EM prices are (and continue to head). Plus there's the space issue most people have to contend with!
