Surely a tired topic - but I don’t see a dream themes thread on pinballinfo?

Query - what’s your dream theme they’ve not made yet that would make a brilliant pinball machine!

For me (love films so..)

A Dutch Pinball Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: complete with a unique high wire space baby delivery mech from Bazooko’s circus. - perfect Americana Las Vegas sort of theme, like diner or Creech I reckon. Ether mode causing a delay to flips would be a mean mode too. They did a great job with Lebowski so no1 pick for this.

A wide body Bally Williams 90’s Blues Brothers: with a ridiculously big multiball count for the police chase at the end. Every time they drain you could see another crash on the DMD with animated cars.

More western themes - True Grit because Jeff Bridges looks like a pinball wizard and is already great games like Tron & Big Lebowski - in a 1980’s style.. like that new pulp fiction I reckon.

A modern JJP: Grand Budapest Hotel: with a ski chase hurry up, designed by Pat Lawlor for cool toys.

And finally a modern lcd Stern Rage against the Machine - Pinball. I got into Iron Maiden because of their game, but already love a bit of Rage - it would go perfect with the music.

And also* a Whiplash drumming pinball machine with many button mashing modes designed to make your fingers bleed - designed by Steve Richie and lots of unique J.K Simmons call outs giving discouraging remarks Ala - Spiderman but crueler.

Film based theme for me as well, would love a Fifth Element based pin as its my favourite film.

Already got a donor playfield and several ideas in my head.

Star Wars done by Dutch

Quadrophenia by JJP

Blade Stern Kapow

The Boys CGC and the company that Josh Sharpe works for.

Groundhog day by Homepin- spell Punxsutawney Phil to light multiball- no progress or scores saved between balls to fit in with the premise of the film- randomly show movie clips of Bill Murray on an lcd with an additional DMD to get rid of all unsold Spinal Tap parts

JB.PNG

Jackie Brown Pinball by Play Mechanix and CGC.

Mark Ritchie is back, again...

Sneak peak into audio tracks,

I would say GB is a dream theme, would love to see what they could do with Afterlife now and on LCD, as that is a great addition to the franchise and interested to see what they will do with the new one too.
When I saw Afterlife, my first thought was would Ricky Gervais give his permission, and it would be a bit dark for pinball

😝 There is the film - ‘Ghostbusters; Afterlife’ and the TV show Afterlife.

I’ve made another thread called ‘It’d never be a theme … but I’d have a go!’ Ricky Gervais Afterlife theme is perfect for.

Yeah GB: Afterlife - it's awesome, really well integrated into the first two and a proper sequel, with some lovely visual effects too.

Got to be Predator for me, but with the licensing mostly a mess for the original movie and the failed pin project that went down, I can probably only dream on..

Warhammer 40k… and I’m not the only person who’s had this idea:

FOR THE EMPEROR!

No, Warhammer always popular though, not my thing but I live above a model shop and always see them in the window.

Very good for printing / painting as well, with resin though.

He said he's nearly finished with the playfield :) , I don't think he is. I just couldn't use ramps like that, it would have to be metal or nothing in that case if couldn't get plastic.

Thundercats
Ulysses 31 (there was even a pinball espisode)
Mysterious Cities of Gold
Studio Ghibli (many films)
Legend of Zelda
Avatar the last Airbender (not the film)

My dream theme is not so much a single theme, but the ability for the software in a game to change the unchangeable artwork we are currently stuck with. i.e Playfield, plastics, backglass, cabinet, etc. As flexible oled tech gets better and cheaper, I can see a day where these aspects of a game will change according to the mode in a game. That then opens up some interesting possibilities.
