Dracula Gets ColorDMD

Ahhhh. Need this in my life. Anyone know where to buy the clear plastic panel?

Was hoping it was TWD but kind of always knew it wouldn't be! :)

hopefully in the future for twd, I presume we would have to change the red cover, even though I have this game I can say that I`ve had a look at the dmd:thumbs:
 
The press release said:

ColorDMD LED displays allow easy installation in Dracula pinball machines. While not fully supported, SIGMA-WPC LCD displays can also be used but may require removal of the LOVE NEVER DIES flashers.

I'm sure you can buy the LED displays from Pinball Palace now for any game you want, as they're all supported. I'm considering removing an LCD out of TRON, replace with LED, then move the LCD to Congo which just has an standard DMD at present.
 
Am I the only one that hates colour DMD's? A big part of the eariness of BSD is that blood red DMD surely??
 
I hate the fact i can't easily colour these games myself, as i find a lot of these colours are wrong and would prefer my own interpretation. After all, i'm the one looking at it all the time.
 
BSD looks great in red, but I think they've done a great job on this one, the colours fit really well with the artwork.

There's a lot of stuff in BSD that's so much easier to make out in multicolour, for instance have you ever noticed that the rats morph into skulls when you score points in rats mode? No, me neither, it's hard to see in colour even as it happens so fast but I know this was one of the last things the programmer was working on, so you can make out the skulls in white as they are "collected" and disappear upwards.
 
For people doing this I did an easy fix so the love never dies flashers still can be used I'll post a pick when I open her up
 
I think i'll go for the LED version of the colourDMD so i can still have the light board in place. Sadly, pinballpalace are out of stock at the mo, so i'll have to buy direct and get dry bummed by the import charges.
 
Ministry has both types in stock, more expensive initially but most likely cheaper after you've paid the import tax.
