Wanted Dr Who time expander frame

Hi all,

Does anyone have a time expander frame like the one on the photo below? My Dad has done pretty much everything he can think of, but it's pretty much just worn out and impossible for it to not bind. I know there is the smooth expander mod that a guy came up with on pinside, but hoping someone out there might have one?
