Just thought i would share my Dr Who refurb pics. Bit of shameless self gratification!

Full strip and full de-mylar.

Mini PF stripped, de-mylared, sanded and re-lacquered.

PF removed - interior sanded and repsrayed - same with backbox.

Exterior completely repainted. It's not perfect - expecially the main Dr Who logo on the side - as I couldn't replicate the colour gradation.

Cabinet bolts and mounting brackets resprayed and re-lacquered.

New target decals.

New backing foam to all targets.

Shooter lane sanded and re-lacquered.

Speaker modification - 2 x 51/2" coaxials in the back; new 8" sub in the cab with new mounting plate and a mini graphic EQ.

Enjoy

I would have looked if there where anything to look at.

Come on Martin, let's see the pic's.

Sorry Martin, I exepected them to be attached to this thread as it did not state where they where I thought you had just forgot to attach them.

Looks nice:)

How do you rate the game? Can't decide whether to sell a pin and look for a Dr Who as heard different opinions. Seems fun to play it but not owned one so wondering how long it would last in home use?

I like it although it's a bit repetitive and very hard to complete everything consistently. It's also a complete drain monster with the smaller lightening flippers not helping either (mine is set up quite hard though). The Davros multiball is also soooo hard to complete. I've never done it in almost six months of play. That said, it's a game that I keep going back to although it kicks my butt. Once you get into the flow and have your scoring multiplyers ramped up it's very rewarding. I compare it to Whitewater in terms of scoring imbalance. You have to have everything set up just right to get a monster jackpot but if you fubar it then you are back to almost nothing (same as 5x playfield and triple jackpot on Whitewater).

I've been burning the midnight oil on a Dr Who project too!

Playfield was stripped and re-rubbered, new star posts and time expander motor... All thats left is a new GI connector and she'll be reayd for a new home via here or eBay (its my second Dr Who!!)
