I just got my first pinball machine and found it very easy to loose track of time while playing just one more game. To that extent I made myself a clock (using a cheap display rather than a real DMD) to show the current time in the style of a pinball score.
It's controlled by a super cheap micro that's arduino compatible and has wifi so the clock can read British Summer time from an NTP time server, there's no faffing around trying to set up the time and it's always accurate.
I wrote about it on my site if anyone wants to replicate it. https://msraynsford.blogspot.com/2023/05/pinball-clock.html
