Folks
anyone else have flicker lights when hitting flippers or off all the time. Quick push on the bulb seems to suggest it’s the bulb or holder - anyone got a perm fix for this?

Neil.

Yes in the ball guide which leads to the flipper. Both IMDN and BK had it on the left side.

I guess the lamp holder gets wrecked over time due to being right against the flipper mech?

Common fault on most games. You can 'crimp' the holder together slightly or replace it.

The best lamp holders are the ones that are on the CGC GI circuits but I think they are 12v.... not sure. You should have those spare off your MM upgrade.

Literally every single Stern I've had has had this problem, it's usually a physical connection issue between bulb and holder rather than dodgy solder connections.
Just needs the faulty holder crimping as @Pick Holder said.
I guess a permanent solution would be to switch the bayonet holder for a screw type holder

Yeah ok I saw that other thread but just wondered if anyone had done something more final on it.

Thanks
Nell.
