Hi all this is my first post so go easy on me!!

I'm looking for the fire plastic which goes above the start throttle on the playfield for my DE SW.

Any help locating one would be greatly appreciated.

Shooter covers seem to be really hard to come by. The one on my Rocky & Bullwinkle was originally in two pieces and I had a go at making a repro myself which actually came out pretty nice, so that's one option you might want to try.

As luck would have it some kind soul on Pinside had a spare which he shipped over to me so my original reproduction one isn't needed any more.

If you wanted to try making one then it's not so tough - you just need to get a good quality scan of a non-broken one and then print that onto transparent adhesive backed film. Then adhere that to a piece of Lexan before spraying the back of it white. You need to reverse the image too because it's actually mounted on the rear of the plastic so you see a mirror image on the top.

Hi @Marble Madness and welcome to PinbalInfo! Sorry I can't help with your DESW plastic but you've come to the best place to try and find one.

Why not introduce yourself in the new members thread? http://www.pinballinfo.com/community/threads/new-members-say-hello-right-here.1271/

Enjoy! :D
Thanks Nedreud, I'll do just that. The sites great, a little addictive reading all the various posts! Its keeping me out of mischief and not under 'er in doors' feet. So is a win win all round!

Thanks Wiredworm for the info on making my own, I've been pointed in the right direction to get one so I'm one step nearer finishing my first project!

No problems dude. I did have a quick look around at the usual suppliers (The Pin Witch, Bay Area Amusements etc.) but totally managed to skip the Pinball Center.

Glad to hear you got sorted.

Wow! That's a very reasonable price for one plastic and I'm genuinely surprised they sell it singly. Nice one!

Be interested to hear how you think it compares to the original. I'm hoping CPR do a full plastics repro set by the time I need one but it's nice to have backup!

Hi Node I'll let you know what it's like, it was shipped today so great turnaround.

Hi Node as promised a photo of the new plastic next to the old one. It looks a great reproduction, the lines are clear and the colours are spot on. The new one still has the protective clear cover on. I would definitely recommend Pinball Centre
