Anyone know a quick way to check cpu rom revision? display rom shows on boot up 1.09 but can't see cpu! and label has fell off. table is an ST25

Hi, Ronnie,

I'm not sure about DE, but with Williams games the program version shows as the first thing displayed (apart from any 'test report') when entering the test/bookkeeping functions. Even pre alpha-numeric games do so, e.g. FirePower is '1'(hardware) '497' (game number) /space/ '2' (program revision). The alpha games spell out the name, and add an 'Id 00' to the display, e.g. 'F 14 Tomcat' 'Id 00 554 L-5'. I'd hope that DE games have something similar.

Thanks for the reply, it does at power on show the display rom version but not any other that I can see, the display seems the latest or maybe the only one at A1.09

My DE SW shows the CPU version after it's shown the display version, before going into attract mode.

Does it, mine goes blank after it shows the display version until the music starts then display comes on normal, I wonder if that's an issue? where this came from I doubt it was ever updated.

I burned a new 2.01 version rom and it's working does not verify with the old one so guess I have a newer than was installed?
