Creech playfield multiplier bug

Was watching the recording where this came up earlier today, and the discussion around this came up when Keith Elwin went from 1* to 3* multiplier, using this bug.

I doubt I would even have noticed as I am usually interested in that ball only as long as it takes to get up the ramp, I then forget about it until it drops back to the flipper and gets shot back up to the ramp. I only just notice the CREATURE lights on the back box to know where I am for multipliers.
Most of us mortals don't get many more the two multifamily going in one game never mind getting x4 twice on the trot.
