Wanted CPU/Sound board for my X-Files.

i had to pay £250 for one recently. After selling one for £190 a couple of weeks before aaaaargh!

What's the going rate nowadays anyone?

£250 sounds OK to me for a machine you really like.........I can only see them for sale at £400 odd quid from pinball heaven.

Hi Ronnie,

The board is there and i have had it checked over. Trouble is the last owner let the batteries leak and then had someone `repair` it. I have never seen so many wires on the back of any pinball board. The machine can play away all week fine then every night the display will go blank before something else weird like my final score freezing on screen and staying there even after starting the next game or a score of 88 million appearing at the start of a game. Battery damage is a horrible thing i`m afraid.

Cheers,
John.

Not familiar with that board John, but yes battery acid damage can go a long way, might be worth asking a repairer? Luke wells springs to mind?

Cheers Ronnie

Thanks for that Ronnie but i have had someone look at it who knows these things inside out so i`m afraid it`s very likely beyond fixing. Thing is second hand stuff is being offered at nearly the price of new stuff so it`s hardly worthwhile making only a slight saving. I`ll just need to be patient..........which i`m not very good at sometimes !
Cheers,
John.
