You would need a tool to crimp the pin on to the wire and then they just slide in to the plastic housing pinball mania sell all sorts of housings and the pins
If the contact pitch is 4.2mm then you most likely looking at molex mini fit Jr
something like RS 484-1748 - not sure if your looking for male or female, but all at RS components
cheers Bob
I get all of my connectors from RS if possible - delivery within UK is free and relatively quick, and the price seems cheap enough. Plus they usually have datasheets that you can check to compare with the connector you have in hand to see if the dimensions match up.
Classic pinball typically used Molex standard .062" and .093" range for wire-to-wire, but this is a more recent application, it would be useful to see if the plug inserts are keyed, this one maybe; https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/pcb-connector-housings/6704569/
ps. if it is mini-fit the terminals appear to be a square profile, standard are round
I’ve manually crimped(pliers) and then soldered them to secure in the past with much success(maybe 60-70 crimps) although I recently bought a crimp tool for about €18 and it was money well spent and can’t believe I ever soldered them
