Connecting a Sub - Has anything changed

I currently use the little boards from pinnovators to connect my Spike 2 machines to a subwoofer. I was just wondering if the new Sterns have an output that now eliminates the necessity fir these.
If not I'll be on the look out for another one.

There is a header on the CPU SPIKE 2 board you can get a stereo line out. Easy!
