Comet LED Strips

Hi,

Does anyone in the UK supply the Comet LED strips? The LED's seem easy enough to get from a few suppliers, but I can't find the strips.

If you know what you want I will get it in on our next order, but I have just put a pretty big order in... What are you looking to do with them as we have just taken on another few SKU's including the superbrights for under the slings.



An excellent choice when you want bright light expanding out to the sides of the bulb, but also directly upwards. Not really necessary for inserts, but great for slingshots, and in dark areas of the general illumination.

Phil Palmer has some led strips that are a few inches long.
Or just get 5v RGB strips and cut to size.

@James I'm looking to brighten up the larger plastic areas on my WH2O (the one at the back, and the one down the left side). Are the ones you have pictured suitable for this sort of thing?

@Pick Holder Would the 5v RGB be durable? I thought the playfield bulbs were 6v? I guess I also like the plug and play nature of the comet solution (not averse to some diy, though).

Phil Palmer someone on here, or have a website?

The comet ones I’ve listed go into any GI socket, bayonet or wedge, and are designed to do what you’ve outlined there. Mine will be in stock next week I think, and are £1.49 per bulb. Two choices of white.

Be careful buying RGB strips these are usually 3 pin, addressable, and can't be easily turned on without a controller.

Go with the Phil option those look exactly the same as what comet offers.

Yes indeed, they're exactly the same as the comet matrix system which is excellent

You can get plenty of RGB lights that are non addressable that work on 5v.

Normally the connections will be labelled + and - for single colour, or 5v - R - G - B for the ones you want. Do nnto buy the ones that say DI or DO on them as these are driven by data and not just voltage.
