I'm getting the bits together to replace the shield inserts in my Sttng,
as you can see they are toast.
they dont effect game play but they are seriously ugly.

Going to make the decals myself.(fix search the galaxy,Q and battle simulation while im at it)
I have new inserts to go in,
The only thing I need to get is a can of clear.
What do you recommend?
Thanks

Top man.
Another question.
Has any one ever cleared a spot with the pf in its normal position?
Or does it need to be vertical?
Thanks

So last night I got the busted inserts out.

I've been following Vids guide down to the word,
like a good boy.
The only thing that concerns me that the inserts are still cloudy form the sanding but Vid assures me they'll go clear once the clear coat goes on.

Tonight I hope to get a thin coat of clear on.
will prob give that 24 hours before I put the decals on.

How do you clear coat them? Do you have to mask them off from the playfield or do you just give them a light coat and blend them in?

I'm going to mask them off,
I'm kinda making this bit up to be honest!!!!
Luckily the 3 inserts are in "space" so its all black around them.
that should hide any lines from the clear (I think)
