Cleaning yellowed bumper plastics?

Another question on top of my other questions..... Sorry! :(

Bumper plastics? Bought some new bumper caps for 60's EM but they now make the original look yellow, can any of you guys pass on a bit of info on how to clean/whiten then up?

Or you can do it yourself using some Oxy Action and Peroxide. I just soaked my plastics in a solution of Oxy Action for an hour or two and then put them in a plastic bag with some peroxide. Stuck them outside in the sun for a few hours and they came up nice and white.

I'm told the oxy bit might not actually be necessary.
