Classic Arcades overlays: any good?

I have just been looking at getting an overlay for my Diner. Ideally I would get a hardtop, but as there is no hardtop for Diner (and new playfields are unavailable) I thought about an overlay. Classic Arcades does one, so was wondering if anyone had any experience with them, and wether the overlays are any good?

Thanks!

CPR do Diner repro playfields. Currently out of stock but they will re-run them.
Fire them an e-mail[emoji846]

Never done an overlay but heard many bad reports about Classic Arcades quality and poor customer service if things aren't what you expect.I have limited my purchases from him to drop target decals which have all been OK

I never fully understood how overlays adhere to the existing playfield[emoji2]

The CPR re-runs on Diner playfield will be digital painted and the orange colour will not be luminous

Thanks for all the feedback. Ideally I would use a hard top but there is no hard top for Diner. And CPR are out of stock of Diner playfields, and the last run sold out in a matter of hours.

If you email they'll let you know when they are planning them and will email you when in stock.

Good advice - in fact I have emailed them already. Hopefully they will rerun them soon as there seems to be high demand. I've also emailed the Hard Top bods about it but not had a response yet
