Really don’t want to part with this but need the space so it’s time for someone else to enjoy my 10 year obsession!
There’s a partial shop log here: https://www.pinballinfo.com/communi...ion-mainly-procrastination.48204/#post-382979
The cab has been filled, sanded and re-stencilled
New side rails fitted
Brand new CPR playfield fitted
New backglass. The CPR one with additional mirror detail (https://classicplayfields.com/shop/pinball-backglasses/centaur-4/) – subtle but really works
New polished steel backglass lift channel
Custom made chrome vent grill on rear of backbox
Replacement backbox light shields (3D printed by mypinballs). Slightly customised on the bottom row as the originals didn't quite match the print on the backglass - originals were all the same width even though the text length varies somewhat
Original Bally legs sandblasted and powder coated in metallic grey to give similar effect to originals
New leg bolts and levellers
Stealth cabinet protectors fitted
New playfield glass
Displays replaced with Pinscore red LED ones.
Flipper mechs re-built
New flipper bats
New plastic set
Rubbers replaced with premium silicone white rings and red silicone flipper rubbers
New Bumper caps, bodies, rings and skirts
New clear red lane guides and posts
Plastic acorn nuts replaced with chrome
Replacement drop targets (all 12)
Replacement stand-up targets (white and red)
Apron and shooter cover decal set fitted
Replacement Say It Again board
Memory capacitor fitted to MPU. Not sure how long it lasts but had the game tomb-stoned for a few months and it still remembered settings and high scores when I switched it back in so quite a while it would seem!
High power re-built on driver board and large caps replaced. Mods recommended by Marvin’s guide also completed.
All new earth braid throughout (including in backbox to replace scruffy looking foil sheet)
New line filter and varistor
New mains cable
Upgraded speaker – coaxial for excellent frequency response. Game sounds amazing
New flipper buttons and leaf switches
New backbox fixing bolts and most of the carriage bolts also replaced
Possibly some other stuff I’ve forgotten
Loads of pictures below (impossible to do the backglass justice but I’ve tried) and happy to answer any questions.
Game is located in Pudsey, LS28. In-person collection possible or you can arrange for a Martin (or similar) to collect.
Looking for £4K which I know is strong money for a Centaur but this isn’t any ordinary Centaur.
