hello, just wondering what are people view on buying a pinball from new from a store. am thinking of getting a guns n roses but 9,995 in the uk is a but much with other model sold out is it worth waiting or will the second market be the same sort of price. was a acdc for a example at a high price back in the day and has the price gone down over the years. am not looking for profit but dont want to spend 9,995 and lose money if the price goes down in the second market which I no price are high at the moment. thanks for any help

@woody79 buying a new pin is a bit like buying a new car. In 99% of cases you lose money as soon as you open the box. There is the odd exception over the years where a very desirable and rare game might go up in value but for the majority they depreciate. It could be a little while before we start seeing GnR come up for sale on the 2nd hand market and I wouldn't expect them to lose too much money but you never know.

My advice, if GnR is what you really want and you can afford to pay the NIB price then go for it  Yes you will likely lose some money if you ever came to sell it on but that's the same for any brand new pinball machine. The current crazy prices are more an issue for people buying older used games where what you might pay a lot and if the market dips then take a hit if you sell it on...but tbh prices have been on the rise for all pinball pachines for years now and there's no signs of them dropping or the bubble bursting as people like to say :D

So you've got a budget of 7K, do you buy a NIB pro or a decent secondhand machine?
