I have been asked whats the better pin out the two (I havent owned either)
Bram stokers dracula or tales from the crypt?
I think think BSD will get the higher vote but what do i know 😂

**PLEASE only vote if you have played both**

Both great games but I'll go against the grain and say Tftc has a better art package and it's mode based so more to do. Bsd is just stacking multiballs over and over again, has great animations too but so does tftc. Both are great though 👍

Both good, I'd say TFTC is more approachable and suits the casual player well, whereas BSD will appeal to the intermediate+ players and 1 in a 100 games it will totally blow your mind unlike any other pin of the same era.

The trick is to stack the multiballs and max the multipliers. It's tough, but v rewarding when you get it flowing.

For me BSD just pips it - that left ramp feels great to nail over and over again and I love the rule set - it is a bit multiball heavy for scoring but for me that adds a little bit of pressure to multiball that I kinda like. There’s nothing quite like hearing “10 MILLION” “20 MILLION” in that iconic accent!

A tough one, I have a TFTC and would get a BSD. TFTC was the less expensive when I was buying mine, Data East compared to Bally/Williams? You'd go with the Bally/Williams for build quality.
However I love the TFTC TV show so I'm biased.

3 Spinners, 3 drop targets various multi balls, bash toy, shaker motor, orbits and ramps on the TFTC. Cool stackable modes as mentioned above in Drac & "Mist Ball". Too close to call.

Yes ! I love a good themed X vs Y question 😁

I have owned both - BSD stayed longer and I would def have one again, I keep half an eye out for one. TFTC was fun , def a decent DE title but doubt I would ever have one again. They both have pros and cons but I'm calling BSD as the 'better' game.

For atmosphere and down right creepiness you can't beat BSD. I'm a fan of the film too so that always helps. There were late nights playing it alone in the Shack I freaked myself out and would sprint back up to the house, double bolting the door behind me 😆 TFTC is way more comic book, light hearted horror, with the usual Data East barrage of music and sounds. Talking of sounds ....oh god the cackling on Crypt ! And the noise of the guillotines are lodged in my head forever.

As others noted rules wise Crypt is your standard mid 90s complete loads of modes for a Wizard mode. BSD is kind of modeless really and is very much multiball stacking - which is both its strength as a great game and its weakness - it can feel all or nothing sometimes, yet super rewarding when its ALL ! Always found it harder trying to explain the rules to someone with BSD, its not as obvious what to do and there are some important things to get yr head round like the Bats bonus.

Worth noting that since I had TFTC Chad has done one of his wonderful DE code updates - which I'm sure addresses any issues ,and going on all his other updates improves the game. https://www.pinballcode.com/tftc4

I’m going to buck the trend and say they are both disappointing.

Horror themes should be right up my alley but both pins leave me cold.

BSD has dreadful art and sounds. Second only to transformers in terms of dreary colours. The mist multiball is admitted cool though

TFTC has the data east “clacking” noise from the drop targets. Just feels clunky overall.

Had multiple chances to own both in the past and never pulled the trigger. Turned down a BSD at £250 which in hindsight was probably a mistake but I couldn’t be ****d to hire a van.

If I had to opt for one it would probably be TFTC.

BSD has dreadful art and sounds.

I agree on art but not sounds - both the original and pinsound mix are great. I'd definitely take a TFTC as well and keep BSD alongside it.

A non pinball player came round last week and played BSD all night and at the end said 'there's something wrong with that machine'. That sums up BSD perfectly.

BSD is the greatest pinball machine ever made. I hated it the first few times I played it as it's so utterly unforgiving. But that's also it's strength. If you get lazy it will punish you hard. On the odd occasion you get a good game it's fantastically rewarding. Mine is never leaving and I wouldn't swap it for anything.

Was there actually something wrong with it though? 🤣 Pinsound sounds great on it 100% and Gary getting the guts pulled out of him while having his nip sucked on the playfield is a bonus

BSD for me too. It purposely demoralises you into thinking its garbage. Then after you learn its ways a little, it all comes alive where you seem to be getting all tthe joy, then it suddenly demoralises you again. Love it to bits i do.

The main thing wrong with it is being fully waxed and fully tuned in. Not very forgiving even for someone that knows the game. I've been destroyed many times just teeing up the bats and rats bonuses.
